Detailed mapping of nice agricultural value chains with a primary focus on identifying green finance opportunities.
Context
The Eco-business Fund invests in activities that promote business and consumption practices that contribute to biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and mitigation of climate change and adapt to its impacts.
Challenge
In order to assist prospective partner organizations (including financial institutions and corporate entities), the EBF recognized the need for a more profound comprehension of the operational dynamics within nine specific value chains, alongside the corresponding sustainability challenges and environmental and social risks.
Solution
Identify and map out obstacles and opportunities to advancing the adoption of sustainable, innovative, and green practices within the target value chains. The strategic advice would include supporting investees to translate their sustainability commitments (e.g., net zero emissions and deforestation targets) into concrete actions and investments.
